Introducing the Succinct Foundation

Introducing the Succinct Foundation, an independent entity designed to accelerate the growth of the Succinct Prover Network, and of zero knowledge (ZK) technology more broadly.
Zero knowledge proofs are a fundamental cryptographic primitive that we believe underlie the future of computing. From scaling blockchains, to leading us into a world without trusted intermediaries, to giving users much-needed privacy, ZK promises to help solve some of the most pressing challenges we face in the digital world. ZK puts the power back in the hands of the user, letting you act on the most cherished of crypto values: being able to verify any computation for yourself.
The Succinct Foundation is designed to accelerate the growth and decentralization of the Succinct Prover Network. The network is a protocol on Ethereum that makes it simple to use ZK, just like running software on your computer. It brings together two sides: requesters, who are applications that demand ZK proofs, and provers, who run node software and participate in a competitive marketplace to generate proofs.
Succinct is the team behind SP1, the leading zero knowledge virtual machine. SP1 makes it easy for any application to use ZK without developers having to learn complicated cryptography. Succinct has made landmark achievements in ZK, including being the first team to announce real-time proving of Ethereum, and has onboarded to ZK some of the most respected protocols in crypto including Polygon, Celestia, Lido, and Mantle.
The Succinct Foundation will support the Succinct Prover Network by widely distributing the benefits of ZK to new partners, funding innovation and research, and by decentralizing the network. The Foundation will support the vibrant ecosystem of nearly 40 partner protocols that work with Succinct as well as onboard the next generation of developers into ZK.
It’s time to PROVE the world’s software.
